
COUPLES having noisy nookie sparked at least 168 moans from neighbours last year.
Some disputes about roaring romps and boisterous bonking lasted so long that authorities fitted recording equipment to assess.

But the true number of cases is likely much higher as most councils do not separate a rumpy-pumpy rumpus from other general noise complaints.
Details revealed under a Freedom of Information request show one person complained to Warwick Council that their neighbours could be seen and heard love-making in their kitchen with the window open and the lights on.
Another said their life was blighted by the racket from locals getting it on for more than two years.
In Hull, neighbours going at it in a outdoor blow-up hot tub caused a complaint.

Sutton Council, in South London, had a total of four cases including one where a neighbour said: “The couple have windows wide open. We are being woken up in the middle of the night/early in the morning.
“Basically, they are screaming when having sex.”
In Wakefield, West Yorks, one person moaned of a “loud sex noise with the bedroom window open so all the street can hear”.

Another complaint to the same council was about two or three sex sessions a night with the headboard banging against the wall.
And Pendle Council, Lancs, had a complaint of “extremely loud” moaning, groaning and screaming”.
